Selling Items
Jeff realized that many of his belongings wouldn’t fit in his new place. Therefore, he had to decide whether to sell, donate, or throw them away. To accomplish this, he enlisted Sara’s help to take photographs of his furniture and determine which items were worthy of being sold. Sara also cataloged the images for Jeff, making it easy for him to post the items online. With Sara’s assistance, Jeff was able to coordinate appointments for selling the items and get them out of his home with ease.
Packing
Jeff needed help packing his belongings for his move. So, he asked Sara to assist him in packing the items that he wanted to keep. Sara was able to help Jeff declutter his belongings before packing them, so he wouldn’t pack any unnecessary items. She carefully packed and labeled all the boxes to ensure Jeff knew precisely what he had and that the movers would know where to place each box in his new home.
Decluttering
Jeff realized that some areas of his home were cluttered and he wanted to reduce the clutter before packing. During the decluttering process, Jeff preferred to stay seated while Sara brought items to him for decision making. This approach worked out very well, as Jeff was able to maintain his focus and energy levels, and he got rid of a lot of unnecessary items. He was happy to know that he wouldn’t be bringing any unnecessary items to his new home and was being efficient with the space in the moving truck and storage pods. Floor Plan
After Jeff found his new home, he wanted to create a floor plan to determine which furniture would fit and how it should be arranged. This was particularly important for Jeff, as he had limited mobility and wouldn’t be able to move furniture around later. Having a floor plan would also help the movers know where to place items. Jeff also enlisted Sara’s help to make the home aesthetically pleasing. With the help of a floor plan, they could ensure that the new home was both comfortable and organized.
