Decluttering your home doesn’t have to be a daunting task. You can take small steps and still make a significant impact. To help you out, I have created a handy download for you! It’s my Monthly Declutter Planner.
How To Use The Document
This download contains a list of all the months on the left-hand side. On the right, you will find a list of possible categories of items that you can declutter from your home. If you have a category that isn’t listed, don’t worry. The list is just a guide to get you thinking about all the things you might be able to declutter. You can choose to declutter one category each month or more, depending on what you feel is best for you.
How To Get Started
Write down what you choose to declutter each month. Then, this is the most important step, get your calendar and pick a day when you will do so. Make sure to choose a day that isn’t filled with other to-do’s or events. Also, give yourself at least four hours to accomplish the decluttering task. Determine how you will donate the items and to where. For example, if you need a friend’s truck plan NOW and book them. Then place this list on your fridge, office desk, or anywhere you will see it regularly. Also, photograph the list with your phone in case it ends up in the trash or you misplace it.
Here are the steps in a quick format.
- Write down what category you choose to declutter each month.
- Choose a day each month to do the task and enter it into your calendar.
- Place the list somewhere that you’ll see it every day.
